Paste magazine has announced their “10 Best Live Music Acts of 2008″ with Tom Waits topping the list: “Tom Waits #1 – This year’s tour was announced with a fake press conference and covered an almost random swath of the American landscape. But it proved once again that when Johnny Cash passed away, Waits became the coolest cat on planet earth.”
They’ll get no argument from me or probably anyone else who saw the tour…read the rest of the list here.

I saw Tom Waits in Paris 25/7-08. Sadly, because it most likely is the best concert I’ll ever attend in my life. I’ve seen a few big ones live, but no one came even close to grasping the audience this way.

Well, hello you all ! Happy new year ! I also was in Paris on the 25th and just cannot wake up from this show. This tour is acclaimed from everywhere, it’s number one in every heart, now I’m asking THE question : when will Anti release a real official live recording and video of this beautiful act ? We hope in silence for a capture of “the sweat’s stain left on the stage”, Tom’s hat still sparkles in my eyes. Tom, do it again please, it’s big time !
Bye, Patrick
