
The Hubble Space Telescope recently spotted an enormous donut approaching from space.
Well, it’s technically not a pastry. In fact it’s a new galaxy called NGC 7049. My sources inside the pentagon tell me it’s a kind of hybrid galaxy, part disk (like the Milky Way) and part elliptical, which is fairly rare. The reason for the strange appearance is that this galaxy has likely just eaten another smaller galaxy and we are seeing dust from that event. That’s right – a galaxy eating donut.
