Paste Magazine has just named their “25 Best Album Covers of the Decade (2000-2009).” Sitting atop the list at number one? None other than Neko Case and her latest greatest album “Middle Cyclone.” The good folks at Paste explain the choice, “For the multi-talented Case, making one of the best records of the year wasn’t good enough. She also handled the artwork, drawing and photography, casting herself—perched atop a 1968 Mercury Cougar—as the coolest hood ornament of all time.” To see the list, go here.

No, it’s the best album cover of any decade.
Well deserved. Good call.

Neko Case is the greastest. Her music is soulful and relaxing but yet powerful. The “Middle Cyclone” cover is one of the best I’ve seen, plus I love how the care is also on the CD as well.

Not according to their actual publication. She isn’t even in the top 50. No. 1 is Sufjan Stevens’ “Chicago”. Check it out: http://digital.pastemagazine.com/publication/?i=26727&p=31
