Billy Bragg is in Canada on tour. Besides a string of rousing concerts, the socially impassioned folk-punk found time to appear before the Ottawa Parliament on the issue of copyright reform, encouraging Ottawa to avoid criminalizing music downloading when it updates its copyright protection law. Bragg also managed to serenade a picket line outside the Canadian Museum of Civilization on Friday, standing in the rain and playing old labour songs as the striking workers cheered and sang along.
