The NPR show World Cafe will be broadcasting a segment featuring the influential and inspirational one of a kind Brazilian outfit Os Mutantes this Thursday 12-03. The band, who recently toured America in support of their highly acclaimed new album “Haih Or Amortecedor,” were in the studio to play some songs and discuss their entirely unique history and views.
The show can be heard on over 200 stations nationwide. You can find a local station by selecting a state from the pull-down menu here. Worldwide, you can connect to the WXPN Philadelphia stream Monday through Friday, 2pm to 4pm EST, here.

I was so happy to hear Sergio chatting with David Dye on World Cafe this week. It was surprising to hear the os mutantes story from Sergio’s point of view. How can they be renowned as the psychedelic band of the 60’s but were too young to be doing drugs? It’s just that child-like wonder that comes through in their music, even to this day! It’s a Natural High, baby! I was relieved to hear the story about the raven on the new album Haih – I thought he was creepy, but no…. just mischevious, that’s all. Keep up the good work Os Mutantes. Love Ya!
